Frequently asked questions

Why can't I open WebP files?

The program predates the format or has no WebP decoder. Older Windows Photo Viewer, some email clients and office suites are common examples.

Will the JPG be bigger than the WebP?

Usually yes, by 30–50 % at the same visible quality. That is the cost of compatibility.

Can I convert a folder of WebP images at once?

Yes. Pick them all; the queue converts them in order and the Library collects the results.
