Why convert JPG to PNG
- An app, form or developer tool requires PNG input.
- You will edit the photo repeatedly and want to freeze it as a lossless master.
- You need a consistent format across a mixed folder of images.

On the Home screen tap Image Converter.

Tap "Convert N images". The Queue opens and processes them in order; you can stop one file or the whole batch.

What to know before you convert
- Converting to PNG does not improve quality: JPG artefacts are preserved exactly. It only prevents further loss.
- PNG files from photos are large, often 5–10× the JPG. Use it where PNG is required, not as a default.
- EXIF is stripped by default; "Keep photo details" copies it into the PNG.

Frequently asked questions
Will JPG to PNG make my photo sharper?
No. The pixels are identical; PNG just stops any further loss.
Why is the PNG so big?
Lossless compression can't shrink photographic noise. A 3 MB JPG often becomes a 15–20 MB PNG.
Can I convert a mixed folder of JPG and PNG to PNG?
Yes. Pick everything; the app converts what needs converting.
